By placing an order with Avel Sound Concept Pte. Ltd. (“ASC”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you (“the Buyer”, “you”, “your”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
1. General
1.1 All prices are listed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated and are exclusive of shipping costs, import duties, and taxes.
1.2 We reserve the right to update prices, shipping fees, and terms without prior notice. Orders confirmed before such changes will not be affected.
1.3 By confirming your order, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under applicable law.
2. Products and Order Fulfilment
2.1 Made-to-Order Mouthpieces: ASC mouthpieces are handcrafted in Singapore. Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for production before shipping.
2.2 Backorders: For items not in stock, please allow 4–8 weeks for fulfilment.
2.3 Custom, Modified, or Second-Hand Products: All sales are final. No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be accepted.
2.4 Adjustments: A one-time adjustment session to the facing curve/length is available for ASC Series mouthpieces (Scirocco, Simoom, Mistral & Foehn) within 7 days of delivery, subject to full payment and at the Buyer’s expense for all return shipping costs.
3. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk
3.1 Standard shipping is via Registered Airmail (Singapore Post), which includes insurance coverage up to SGD 68.
3.2 Estimated delivery times:
- Asia-Pacific: ~10 working days
- Europe: ~15 working days
- USA & rest of world: ~21 working days (longer for certain destinations, e.g., Canada)
3.3 We will use reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery times but are not liable for delays caused by customs, postal services, or events outside our control.
3.4 Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon shipment. Title to the goods passes only after full payment is received.
4. Returns and Refunds
4.1 General Policy: Due to the hygienic nature of saxophone mouthpieces, we generally do not accept returns once products are shipped.
4.2 Exceptions: If a product is proven defective under Singapore consumer law (e.g., Lemon Law provisions), you may request a repair, replacement, or refund, subject to assessment.
4.3 Exclusions: No returns or refunds for:
- Second-hand items
- Custom or personalised orders
- Products damaged due to misuse, neglect, or improper handling

5. Taxes, Duties, and Customs
5.1 All import duties, taxes, and clearance fees imposed by your country are your sole responsibility.
5.2 If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid duties, shipping and handling charges will not be refunded.
5.3 United States Tariffs and Trade Policies: Buyers in the United States acknowledge that import tariffs, trade policies, and customs regulations are subject to change by U.S. authorities without notice. Any additional duties, tariffs, or customs charges applied upon entry into the United States are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. ASC shall not be liable for costs, delays, cancellations, or losses arising from such changes in U.S. tariff, import policies or procedures.
6. Liability
6.1 Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the product concerned.
6.2 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (e.g., performance disruption, loss of income, reputational harm).
6.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Mouthpiece Refacing Services
7.1 Work will only commence upon your written approval of our recommendations after the “Testing and Evaluation” phase.
7.2 Payment must be made in full before the mouthpiece is returned. If payment is not received within 30 days of completion notice, the item will be deemed abandoned and become ASC property.
7.3 International packages must be marked “Used Mouthpieces for Repair”. Buyer is responsible for all taxes, duties, and customs fees in Singapore.
7.4 Items must be cleaned and sanitised prior to shipping. A US$35 cleaning fee applies if returned in unsanitary condition. We do not accept liability for material discoloration resulting from cleaning.
7.5 Our responsibility ends when we provide you with a tracking number and lodge the parcel with the carrier. In case of loss declared by Singapore Post, compensation is limited to the insured amount and refund of service charges. Replacement value of mouthpieces is not covered.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 All content, designs, and products of ASC are protected under Singapore and international intellectual property laws. Reproduction, resale, or unauthorised modification is prohibited.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
9.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
9.2 Any dispute shall first be addressed amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
9.3 For international Buyers, you acknowledge that you are contracting with a Singapore company and agree not to bring class action or multi-jurisdictional claims.
10. Consumer Rights Notice
10. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under the laws of Singapore. International Buyers may also have rights under their local laws, but where permitted, you agree that Singapore law shall apply.
