Designed and intended for musicians of all levels, Donat mouthpieces are always of the highest quality and authenticity. Designed for playability, they bring comfort and precision for a rich and warm sound.

What makes them different compared to other brands of brass instrument mouthpieces is that Dimitri is a bar-turner but also a trumpet player who combines work and passion. Because of his presence in the music world, his address book filled up very quickly. Erik Truffaz, Ambrose Akinmusire, Nicolas Pardo, Stephane Belmondo but also Ibrahim Maalouf gave him valuable advice.

How do I order my Donat Mouthpiece?

Where necessary, don’t forget to send me the details of your instrument brand, model, bore size, receiver type, etc. to make sure you receive the proper mouthpiece for your specific instrument.

Can I try before I buy?

If you are in Singapore, you are welcome to schedule an appointment at my place. I stock some Bb trumpet and flugelhorn models in polished raw brass finish. Please note that I do not keep all models in stock. You will need to bring your horn with you.

So why did I chose to become an authorized agent of Donat Mouthpieces instead of another brand?

The answer is simple, Donat Mouthpieces are the best trumpet and fluelhorn mouthpieces I had the opportunity to play on. They are handmade in France by Dimitri Donat himself and his craftmanship is impeccable. Donat mouthpieces provide a level of comfort and playability that is second to none in my opinion. Perhaps more importantly, they have helped me play in a more relaxed way to focus on the music and stop worrying about the gear.

Personally, I play the following models:

• Bb trumpet: Model #TRUFFAZ in goldplated, heavy blank and #19 throat. It is an equivalent of a Bach 3C with a slightly V cup. A super versatile mouthpiece for all kind of situations.

• Flugelhorn: Model #BELMONDO in raw polished brass, light blank. It is an equivalent of a Bach 1 1/2C with a rounded cup for a warm sound. The ultimate flugel sound!

Can I return my Donat mouthpiece?

First and foremost, your satisfaction is my utmost priority so if you purchased a Donat mouthpiece through the Avel Sound Concept website and have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me using the contact page. I am always happy to discuss, just be mindful of the time difference with Singapore!

Overview

My refund and returns policy only covers defects and lasts 7 calendar days. If 7 calendar days have passed since your purchase, I can’t offer you a full refund or exchange. Should you wish to return your defective Donat mouthpiece, a request, with your invoice number, must be made via the RMA Request Form at the bottom of this page within 7 calendar days of the item being received.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in perfect/like new condition. It must also be in the original packaging. Damaged items (including scratches, wear of any kind, insertion marks, sent back unclean or missing any original parts, including packaging) will be sent back to the purchaser and no refund will be granted.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your returned item. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, the original purchase price only, excluding all shipping costs and restocking fee, will be refunded, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within the time required by PayPal and/or your bank to process the refund.

Returned Donat mouthpieces are subject to a non-negotiable S$35.00/US$25.00 restocking fee to cover cleaning, processing fees and logistic costs. I am a one-man business and I try to keep the cost of Donat mouthpieces as low as possible for customers to enjoy but unfortunately, I can’t waive the restocking fee.

Sale Items

Only regular priced items purchased from the Avel Sound Concept website may be refunded. Sale items, custom items or secondhand items cannot be refunded.

Shipping Returns

Details of return address will be provided on initial acceptance of the return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Avel Sound Concept is not responsible for any customs duties or taxes incurred on international orders.

I strongly urge you to consider using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. I do not take any responsibility for lost/damaged items by postal or courier services..
