It's been a while since i posted here. Life got in the way but i have been busy working on not one but two soprano pieces. These are the final prototypes that are likely to make it to production in early 2025.

🗣️DM me if you want to place an order!!!

⬅️ is what i would call a deluxe version of a Soloist type piece. This has the sweetest sound with heaps of core and depth. High quality hard rubber body with brass shank extending all the way into the chamber giving it mass like a metal piece with the comfort of a HR piece. Mad projection. Best of both worlds.

➡️ is a deep and dark piece with some zing to it. Large chamber and step baffle for a very versatile piece in any genre of music. I may still tweak the baffle but i am really pleased with it so far.

I still have to name them and then i will move on to new projects. In the work:
1️⃣ Tenor sax metal piece with bullet chamber. Think fat sounding Berg!
2️⃣ Jazz bass clarinet with a pronounced rollover baffle (super hard to find a reliable blank maker for bass clar pieces, DM me if you know one).
3️⃣ Baritone sax hard rubber piece. Versatile Slant style piece. Again, super hard to find a reliable blank maker for these pieces.

It's going to be a busy year at ASC! I am not sure i will be able to make the last two. In fact, I have been trying for years but i would finally like to succeed in 2025!

(The white biteplate is made of Radel® material, a biocompatible high performance, sterilizable thermoplastic used in the medical industry.)

On the bench today, an Otto Link ToneEdge "EB" 7 f

On the bench today, an Otto Link ToneEdge "EB" 7 for tenor saxophone.

This piece had been worked on before. It had a tip opening of .108" and an horrible custom baffle. It was dead sounding with a super long facing length.

I removed the old custom baffle and crafted a nicer one to bring back life into this piece. A put my lively radial facing curve matched to the .108" tip opening and also lengthened the window to bring a bit more buzz to the sound.

These are some of my favorite pieces to work and play on. It was initially going to be available for sale but I like it so much, it's going to stay with me for a while!

Opened up from .069" to .092" and crafted a gentle baffle. Efficient facing curve with a punch!

First post in a very long time. I have been super busy with work and making mouthpieces.

Work in progress. Currently crafting a series of Borrums with tip openings ranging from 7* all the way to 10* and anything in between.

The Borrum has a large round chamber, scooped side walls, a long rollover baffle and a slightly raised floor. It is very vaguely inspired by the classic sound of the 60’s but with modern attributes such as better projection and better articulation to suit today’s players. This is not meant to be a replica mouthpiece.

This metal piece with a hard rubber biteplate is made of solid brass rod and precisely CNC machined in the USA before being hand-finished by myself in Singapore. Available in raw brass or silverplating.

The Borrum has a large round chamber, scooped side walls, a long rollover baffle and a slightly raised floor. It is very vaguely inspired by the classic sound of the 60’s but with modern attributes such as better projection and better articulation to suit today’s players. This is not meant to be a replica mouthpiece.

This metal piece with a hard rubber biteplate is made of solid brass rod and precisely CNC machined in the USA before being hand-finished by myself in Singapore. Available in raw brass or silverplating.
